After a few months of laying low, I've completed what I think is my best work to date. I seem to get more better with every Prototype album. Finally, 100% done with a download link:
http://hotfile.com/dl/126811398/aa8795f/TKO_-_Prototype_V_2011.zip.html
It's a zip file so just right click it and extract the files. 16 songs total. If there's any problems, let me know but its hotfile.com so it should be legit. Allow me to briefly describe the album song by song.
1.To Live in the Moment
Not much to explain. Like most of the album its just 16 bars and a hook (harmonized this time) Has that eerie intro feel i like and I slowed my style down a bit. I do a lot of punchlines in this cd, more than usual.
2.Hip Hop Lives
Great guitar riff backdrop. Real gritty hip hop sound. Loved the beat and instantly wrote something hot
3.Price of Fame
A song that I think defines me as an artist. I don't really have a go to song. With over 700 tracks in the stash this one makes me the most proud. Its about a young pop star who gets a letter from a fan. It plays out over a smooth instrumental. I've very satisfied with this joint. I hope I get some good feedback
4.Fuck Swag
Self explanatory. Swag is a popular word that is completely overdone. I basically jab at the idea
5.Jack & Coke featuring Frank Grimes
Another smooth joint with my brother Frank Grimes in the backseat. Not much to explain, good music.
6.Evil Genius part III
Southern style beat and I play around a lot on this track. In '05 I had a joint called Evil Genius, in '08 a track called Still Evil. So here we are. TKO,. Prototype, Evil Genius...its like an on going alias. Whatever
7.Crying featuring DATman
I had a friend lose his daughter and my guy DATman thought it would be right to make a tribute joint to his family. I basically touch on a few subjects about crying, but its more of me crying through music since I don't do that. DATman 100% went in on the main subject. Sped up sample on the hook so it might not be for everyone
8.When I Close My Eyes
Basically a song about how I don't ever wana do shit. Almost a pop sounding joint but its refreshingly smooth.
9.Memoirs of a MC
I didn't count the bars, I just went in on this beat. No hook. Almost a mini life story, with my hip hop experiences sprinkled in. Kinda classical
10.We Did It
This joint stems from a running gag between me and my boys. Anytime something happens that we are fans of...WE DID IT. If you shine we all shine, if something we support shines, we all shine. Get it? Another rock sample, loud and aggressive.
11.Blood Money featuring D Damage
ANOTHER rock sample, didn't realize this until now. This song is about the great lengths people go through to get money whether legal or not. D Damage give his prospective on what he would do while I describe what most people would do.
12.Bump
This song is almost filler, maybe it is. I like the the tempo cause its much faster than the rest of the album. Sounds like a club song but of course I put some foul shit on it instead and made it a fight song
13.Still a King
I love this beat, real classical 70's sounding sample.More shit talking, hardcore music
14.Nature of the Beast
This isn't the typical beat you hear from an artist. I liked the pace and the strings mid verse. Just felt different. Didn't need a hook, just crazy talk but I think it came out well.
15.Boss featuring DATman
This one has a sample from an old blaxploitation film called Boss Niggas. Its a slow track that requires some fast spittin. I think we did our thing on it. The entire album sound quality isn't studio. I do this for fun and cheap so dont expect Def Jam sounds or even pro tools. This is audacity and a $50 mic.
16.Infamous Crew
The final song is dedicated to my people over at theinfamousjcity.wordpress.com. This is a wrestling blog site with some cats, mainly Jcity, who endorsed me pretty hard and I owe it to them and show my allegiance. Seriously, the guy reviewed me as an artist. More hardcore music with a few tie ins to the actual crew.
There you have it. If you actually read that shit, I got love for you. I spend a lot of time doing this shit for personal pride and feedback/recognition. I also want to provide music enjoyment to hip hop fans who love the underground and love hip hop. Bars and beats. I'm here to entertain. Thanks to all my "fans" (lol) the Infamous Crew (Jcity and all the blog members), my Us Unit comrad Frank Grimes and my Covenant Group affiliates DATman and D Damage. Prototype V is here and I'm glad it's over with

Prototype V...I think I'm Back!
I've been laying low for a few months after flooding the Internet with myself. I quit Twitter about 2 months ago for reasons that ain't none of your business. I have 2 kids and I'm about to start studying for a job related test to further my professional career. I've been focused on making what I hope is my 3rd greatest achievement behind my 2 daughters...my 42nd album PROTOTYPE V! OK, 42nd noncommercial album. This will be the first album put out by myself since I started this whole Internet ride. It was fun, the feedback was crazy. More feedback than ever. A lot can be credited to my guy Jcity over at theinfamousjcity.wordpress.com. Rallying the troops I got my guys D Damage, Datman & my brother Frank Grimes to lay some verses and I got a fresh crop of beats that any real hip hop fan can appreciate. I will have a album download link plus my YouTube channel will have all 16 joints up. At this point 8-8-11 is the official date I start flooding the Internet again so if you liked what you heard, there will be more and more and more. Prototype V is on its way god-dammit.
